Amazon seeks an experienced Studio Operations Lead to oversee a commercial photography studio. The Lead will manage workflow, inventory, accounting compliance, and loss prevention. They'll set daily production goals, ensure resources are available, and coordinate with the Studio, Business partners, FC/facility, and logistics teams for seamless planning. Short-term and long-term operational planning, including labor allocation, daily planning meetings, and job duties, will also be involved. Forecast future volumes and develop plans to meet demand, including contingency plans and quick reactions to changing priorities.

As a studio leader, ensure standard operating procedures are followed and identify inefficiencies. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and collaborate with peers worldwide to share best practices. Innovative operating procedures will motivate the team and help the studio scale at high volumes.

Key job responsibilities

  • Day to day management and direction of studio operations function

  • Planning and overseeing the flow of product and assets through all stages of the studio workflow

  • Staffing/workforce planning for Studio Operations

  • Using systems/data to track and plan for volume and flow of product that requires imaging

  • Contributing Kaizen expertise and driving a culture of continuous improvement within studio and/or region

  • Collecting and analyzing data and testing solutions for process improvements and new initiatives

  • Regularly reporting key productivity and quality metrics to stakeholders

  • Implementing studio-wide safety programs including disaster preparedness

  • Providing daily supervision as well as mentoring, training, development of Studio Operations team

  • Creating training and process documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • 5+ years' experience in a high volume, high production operations environment

  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, preferably with LEAN or Six Sigma methodology

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office

  • Strong proficiency in analysis tools including SQL, QuickSight or any other relevant software

  • Occasional travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume commercial studio, or fulfillment center in an operational management capacity

  • Experience successfully leading teams/functions through change

  • Proficiency using multiple platforms and software to create/measure productivity and other operational metrics

  • Project management skills

  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Ability to influence and build successful working relationships with a diverse set of partners

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
