About Hugspace
Hugspace.org is a nonprofit organization that provides a digital warmline – a peer-led, multilingual space for free, stigma-free emotional support. Our trained volunteers offer active listening and real-time emotional presence for individuals navigating stress, loneliness, displacement, or trauma. We center empathy, accessibility, and cultural relevance – especially for immigrants, refugees, and trauma-exposed communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Automation & Integration Specialist
Zapier Workflow Development: Build and maintain complex, multi-step Zaps to connect various systems (Setmore, Zoom, SurveySparrow, HubSpot, email services)
API Understanding: Work with APIs of different platforms (Setmore, Zoom, Google Cloud Natural Language) to facilitate custom integrations if Zapier's native connectors are insufficient
Logic Implementation: Implement geographic filtering logic within Zapier to screen international bookings and trigger automated actions (alerts, auto-cancellation, redirect emails)
Data Transformation: Use Zapier's tools to standardize data formats across systems (e.g., phone numbers, names, dates)
- Google Workspace Administration
- User & Group Management: Add new users, assign organizational units (OUs) for access control (e.g., "Hugs Volunteers Limited Access" vs. "Hugs Volunteers"), and manage Google Groups for shared accounts (e.g., scheduler@hugspace.org)
- Document Management: Organize shared materials and set up access permissions for documents in Google Drive, such as the "Navigator Shared Materials" folder
- Information Security & Password Management
- 1Password Administration: Set up and manage vaults (folders) for different access levels (e.g., employee, admin, shared) and to train users on secure password sharing and generation through the platform
- Security Awareness: Understand security best practices, particularly related to sensitive data and access controls
- Access Control Management: Implement the principle of least privilege across all systems, manage user lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding), and maintaining audit trails for sensitive data access
- Security Incident Response: Handle potential data breaches, unauthorized access attempts, or system compromises affecting volunteer or client data
