Job Title: Digital Platforms Manager

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Merchandising Center Store

Location: Matawan, NJ (Full-Time, On-Site)

Summary:

The Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of the companys mobile app and website to deliver exceptional customer experience, drive revenue growth, and support evolving business needs. This role will oversee end-to-end digital operations from ensuring high-performing, fully functional platforms with robust content and imagery to implementing monetization strategies and acting on customer and member feedback. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency, marketing expertise, and strong project management skills in the grocery retail/eCommerce environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day management of the mobile app and website, ensuring uptime, functionality, and an exceptional user experience.
  • Oversee app downloads, user engagement, and adoption targets, using data to inform enhancements.
  • Ensure all products have accurate, high-quality images and descriptions through vendor partners.
  • Partner with IT and vendors to execute the digital roadmap and annual planning.
  • Conduct ongoing QA/UAT testing to maintain quality and functionality.
  • Implement and manage retail media and advertising revenue programs within the app and website.
  • Develop strategies to drive monetization through promotions, digital coupons, push notifications, and CPG-funded programs.
  • Track performance against income targets and provide actionable recommendations to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback from app store reviews, surveys, and other inputs.
  • Partner with Marketing and Member Services teams to ensure customer needs are integrated into the product roadmap.
  • Create and execute communication plans for new feature launches, ensuring teams are trained and equipped.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs such as app downloads, engagement rates, advertising revenue, coupon redemption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Benchmark platform performance against grocery retail best practices.
  • Coordinate across Marketing, Merchandising, IT, and eCommerce teams to align on priorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with technology vendors for app and web initiatives.
  • Support annual planning, ensuring alignment with broader digital strategy.
Qualifications

Education

  • BS in Marketing, Business, or Communications (MBA is a plus).

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing mobile app and/or website platforms in retail, grocery, or eCommerce.
  • Proven experience delivering measurable revenue growth from digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and retail media monetization.
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems, product imagery, and UAT testing.
  • Familiarity with retail tech stack, including POS integration, coupon systems, and loyalty programs.
  • Strong project management and vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable balancing corporate goals with diverse stakeholder needs.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum annual base salary for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 with benefits.
