Job Summary:
The Closed Parts Material Analyst is responsible for managing part changes, inventory control, and material flow across supply chain operations. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data, timely delivery, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The analyst supports operational execution, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
• Comply with all HSE standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Actively participate in HSE training programs.
• Perform quality checks on material master data (e.g., lead time, order quantities).
• Collaborate with Quality teams to resolve non-conforming material issues.
• Ensure adherence to standard work and documented processes.
• Initiate and manage purchase/work orders to support the demand plan.
• Participate in supplier allocation calls to understand constraints.
• Reduce lead times and optimize order quantities to balance supply with demand.
• Reposition excess inventory across locations with demand.
• Provide timely updates on inventory availability and backorder recovery plans.
• Manage part change requests and coordinate ramp-up/ramp-down activities.
• Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers and past-due orders.
• Own delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance aligned with customer needs.
• Support the Supplier Improvement Process and drive performance metrics.
• Audit incoming parts on warehouse floor (e.g., review pink stickers).
• Validate part numbers, quantities, and packaging accuracy.
• Resolve receiver errors by claiming and processing cases, uploading packing slips, creating expected receipts, and updating documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Planning, Quality, Operations).
• Ensure cases are processed in a timely manner and appropriately resolved (e.g., return, scrap, shelf placement).
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in material planning, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• Experience in Materials Planning and Supply Chain Operations.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Ability to manage part changes, inventory control, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong data accuracy and documentation skills.
• Effective cross-functional communication with Operations, Planning, and Quality teams.
• Comfortable with lifting 25 lbs repetitively.
• Intermediate knowledge of supply planning tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education or certifications in supply chain, logistics, or business.
