Overview:
AmSkills is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented volunteer to support our mission by identifying grant opportunities, assisting in proposal development, and helping strengthen community connections. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, building relationships, and making a tangible impact in workforce development and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Research local, state, and national grant opportunities aligned with AmSkills programs
Assist with writing compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
Collaborate with the AmSkills team to gather program data and impact stories
Support the development of fundraising materials and presentations
Help build relationships with community partners, donors, and sponsors
Participate in community events or outreach activities as needed
Desired Skills: Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
Organized and detail-focused, with an ability to meet deadlines
Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, or grant writing
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Passion for community service, workforce development, or education
Time Commitment: Flexible hours, possible hybrid options available. Ideally 20 hours per month. Impact: Your work will directly support AmSkills’ programs that change lives through technical training, apprenticeships, and job placement.
