Position Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Administrator & Expediter to support our critical equipment procurement and supply chain coordination for nuclear reactor construction and fuel fabrication operations. This role will ensure timely delivery of process and power plant equipment, specialized components, and materials required for the Ward250 reactor program and fuel laboratory construction. You will work closely with the Procurement Engineering team to expedite orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to meet project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Administration

Process purchase orders and requisitions for process and power plant equipment, specialized nuclear components, and construction materials

Maintain procurement databases and tracking systems for all orders and deliveries

Coordinate with Procurement Engineering on vendor selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations

Manage procurement documentation and ensure compliance with nuclear quality standards

Support vendor qualification and certification processes for process equipment suppliers

Expediting & Supply Chain Coordination

Track and expedite critical process and power plant equipment deliveries for Ward250 reactor and fuel fabrication facility construction

Communicate with vendors and suppliers to monitor production schedules and resolve delivery issues

Coordinate shipping, logistics, and delivery scheduling with project teams and construction managers

Escalate supply chain risks and delays to project management and procurement engineering

Maintain supplier performance records and delivery metrics for process equipment vendors

Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, import/export laws, and certifications.

Quality & Compliance Support

Ensure procurement activities comply with 10 CFR 830 nuclear quality assurance requirements

Support supplier audits and quality inspections for nuclear-grade components

Maintain procurement records and documentation per nuclear standards and regulations

Coordinate with QA team on supplier quality certifications and material certifications

Project Coordination

Interface with Ward250 Project Manager, Fuel Lab Project Manager, and construction teams on material requirements

Support project scheduling by providing accurate delivery forecasts and material availability updates

Coordinate material receiving schedules and logistics with project teams

Assist with procurement planning for long-lead process equipment and critical path components

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

2-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or expediting roles

Experience with industrial or construction procurement preferred

Knowledge of purchase order processing, vendor management, and logistics coordination

Experience with ERP systems and procurement software

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with procurement software and database systems

Strong data management and record-keeping abilities

Understanding of shipping, logistics, and supplier coordination processes

Professional Skills

Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal coordination

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Problem-solving skills for resolving supply chain issues

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in nuclear, aerospace, or power generation industries

Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance standards (10 CFR 830)

Experience with process and power plant equipment procurement

Familiarity with construction project procurement and scheduling

APICS or supply chain management certification

Experience with long-lead industrial equipment and complex process systems

Knowlege of global supply chains, Incoterms, customs regulations

Experience working with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $150,000 (L2 Engineer/Specialist level)

0.05% - 0.15% ownership

You'll be supporting procurement of specialized process and power plant equipment worth millions of dollars and ensuring on-time delivery for critical project milestones. Based in our Hawthorne headquarters, you'll coordinate procurement activities supporting both local R&D operations and remote construction projects.
