Senior Director, US NUBEQA Marketing

This position is responsible for ensuring the Bayer pipeline is optimized for US commercial success. This includes shaping strategic choices across disease areas and within disease areas; optimizing pipeline development for individual assets; and proposing/evaluating business development and licensing (BD&L) deals as additional opportunities to strengthen the Bayer pipeline and portfolio. Shaping these outcomes requires research and analysis on market and competitive landscape evolution; modeling of target profiles and financial outlooks; pressure testing and alignment with key US, global, and external experts; and successfully building understanding and alignment with relevant Bayer decision making bodies.

The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for ensuring Bayer builds and maintains productive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) by working closely with the Oncology Regional Marketing (ORM) Team and Area General Managers (AGMs). This includes coordinating the approach across the customer engagement and product teams as well as shaping the strategy, investments, and execution of all KOL activities including congresses (global, national, and regional) and advisory boards, own this work across concept, content, execution, assessment, and optimization.

This is a Whippany, NJ based position. There may be a Residence option available for the selected Candidate, if needed.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Director, US NUBEQA Marketing, are to:

Work with the Area General Managers (AGMs) to lead the Oncology Regional Marketing (ORM) Team: working together to set objectives, priorities, build the culture, and hold the team accountable;

Build and maintain productive key opinion leader (KOL) relationships and coordinate the approach across the customer engagement team including AGMs, RADs, marketing, medical, and senior leaders;

Shape the strategy, investments, and execution of all KOL activities including congresses (global, national, and regional) and advisory boards, own this work across concept, content, execution, assessment, and optimization;

Analyze key success metrics related to marketing programs to continually identify new opportunities and optimize performance;

Maintain a high level of clinical and business acumen to ensure high impact with KOLs and strongest possible marketing activities;

Lead the relationship, priorities, execution and budget management with key agency partners supporting regional marketing activities;

Develop deep business and KOL insights to shape business strategy, priorities, and execution, ensuring industry leading KOL relationships and engagement in Prostate Cancer;

Allocate resources to maximize business impact;

Drive collaboration across all key stakeholders to ensure a One Bayer approach with KOLs;

Remain patient-focused, operating in full compliance with US legal, medical, and regulatory requirements; create a culture/environment in which business decisions evaluate benefits and risks, weighing key cross-functional perspectives.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree;

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry including working in the Oncology and/or Urology therapeutic areas;

Leadership with ability to create strategic vision and inspire/mobilize teams;

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities and able to simplify complex challenges;

Field, people leadership and marketing experience;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross functionally both internally and with external partners;

Compelling verbal and written communications;

Taking well-informed/appropriate benefit/risk decisions;

Efficiency/ownership mindset in managing and deploying enterprise resources;

Fostering cross-functional collaboration and genuine co-creation;

Willingness for travel (30% to 40%);

High level of interpersonal skills and intercultural skills;

High degree of flexibility and commitment.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or advanced degree preferred;

12+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry with at least 4 years within the Oncology and/or Urology therapeutic areas;

US Thought Leader engagement experience is preferred.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $ 222,500 to $333 800. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
