The Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist will be working for a leading healthcare organization and has career growth potential. This is a full-time, work-from-home position (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM local time zone).

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation

Pay: $53.00 per hour

Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service

Responsibilities

Review and complete criteria-based prior authorizations as per policy and procedure

Ensure accuracy and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and production targets

Multitask effectively using multiple technology platforms and clinical resources

Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including clinical and non-clinical staff

Handle phone-based interactions with providers and patients professionally

Requirements

Active pharmacist license in the state of residence, in good standing

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or PharmD with at least 2 years of pharmacist experience

Prior experience with prior authorizations (PA) or clinical case review in a high-volume or production setting

High school diploma or GED

Must have a reliable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload; include a screenshot from www.speedtest.net with resume)

Must have a private workspace suitable for confidential business and on-camera meetings

Smartphone required for VPN token access

Ability to follow Teleworker Privacy Practices and maintain security of CVS Health property and information

Must be stable in current living situation

Attendance is mandatory for all trainings and work hours

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Detail-oriented and able to work independently

Schedule

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM local time

Training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CT

Work Location

Fully remote (never coming onsite)

Work from home, must maintain a dedicated workspace
