Senior UX/UI Designer
Our client, a leading digital consultancy, has an immediate need for a Senior UX/UI Designer to support a top-tier client in the travel and tourism industry. This freelance opportunity offers the chance to shape inclusive, engaging customer experiences across multiple consumer brands. Our client is ideal seeking candidates with B2C, eComm, travel, hospitality and retail experience. Specifically, any experience in consumer memberships and loyalty programs is ideal! Experience spanning UX and visual design - experience working within enterprise-scale design systems needed. Note: This is a hybrid role. Regular on-site collaboration is expected in Chicago, IL. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end UX design for a product area, including IA, user flows, interaction patterns, and visual design. Translate research insights, business goals, and technical constraints into accessible, engaging solutions. Create deliverables such as journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Plan and conduct usability testing; iterate based on findings and performance metrics. Contribute to and evolve shared design systems with a focus on accessibility and consistency. Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including PMs, engineers, researchers, and content designers. Present work clearly to diverse audiences, incorporate feedback, and build alignment. Identify opportunities to improve existing experiences and leverage emerging technologies. Required Qualifications: Strong storytelling and presentation skills. Experience facilitating design workshops. Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and understanding of front-end fundamentals. Experience working across the full product lifecycle in agile environments. Strong interaction design, systems thinking, and human-centered problem-solving. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work on-site in Chicago. Preferred Experience: Designing pricing, revenue, subscription, membership, or loyalty experiences. Contributing to large, multi-brand ecosystems and shared design systems.
