Kitchen Expeditor
to act as the key liaison between the back-of-house and front-of-house teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is critical to ensuring seamless communication, food quality, and timely service.
Kitchen Expeditor High Volume Restaurant
Responsibilities
Act as the communication bridge between the kitchen line and service staff, ensuring smooth coordination during peak hours Review and manage all incoming food tickets for accuracy, timing, and presentation standards Prioritize and pace orders to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and consistency Inspect completed dishes for proper plating, temperature, and adherence to spec before they leave the kitchen Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and servers to solve timing issues or special requests Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient expediting station throughout service Support the kitchen team with organizing takeout and delivery orders when applicable
Kitchen Expeditor High Volume Restaurant Qualifications
Proven experience as an Expeditor or in a similar role in a high-volume or fast-paced kitchen environment Strong communication and coordination skills with both BOH and FOH Keen eye for detail and ability to uphold food quality and presentation standards Excellent organizational and time management abilities under pressure Familiarity with kitchen operations and ticket management systems (e.g., POS/KDS systems) Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-stress, high-energy environment
