About the Role

As a Planning & Design Coordinator you will work closely with our New Development team to support pre-development planning, design, marketing, and project management for our growing portfolio of projects. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with some of the industry's most prolific developers, architects, designers, and brokers to gain experience at the intersection of design, development, and marketing within a fast-growing, culture-oriented real estate startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management
    • Organize and track project correspondence, communications, and files.
    • Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings.
    • Strategically manage projects to ensure the timely achievement of critical milestones.
  • Research & Analysis
    • Stay informed on current design trends, market standards, and key players, including designers and architects.
    • Benchmark international and national comparables across residential, hospitality, and retail assets.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate design, culture, and media trends.
    • Manage and update Design & Development databases.
  • Design Support
    • Provide input on luxury residential floor plans to ensure sophistication, elegance, and functionality.
    • Contribute to massing new developments and optimizing unit mixes.
    • Collaborate with third-party design teams and new development research to enhance program and pricing strategies.
    • Conduct view and light studies and assist in programming amenities, common spaces, and back-of-house requirements.
    • Support the design of sales galleries and model residences.
    • Prepare conceptual design presentations and art direct project branding and collateral.
    • Assist in drafting RFPs and defining scope of work for consultants.
    • Cultivate strategic professional partnerships to advance project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of multi-family residential programming and functional adjacencies (preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Skilled in drawing software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, REVIT).
  • Sophisticated interior design sensibility with a refined and rational graphic design approach.
  • Articulate communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • International design exposure is a plus.
  • Interest in or proficiency with AI is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (required).
  • 3-5 years of design experience in architecture, interior design, real estate development, or sales and marketing.
  • Experience in luxury residential or hospitality design (required).
