The Role: We are seeking a motivated Business Development Consultant to uncover new prospects and sell our innovative marketing solutions across various industries. You will collaborate with sales consultants and other departments to create compelling proposals. Once a deal is secured, you will transition the account to a dedicated sales consultant.

Your Mission:

  • Discover New Prospects: Use various sources including media, AI, and networking to identify new and expanding businesses.
  • Connect & Pitch: Reach out to potential clients through calls or in-person meetings to explain the benefits of advertising with Cox Media.
  • Client Meetings: Meet with prospective clients to assess their advertising needs and estimate potential business. Build strong relationships with clients, advertisers, and agencies.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze data to prepare for sales calls and collaborate with consultants to create customized proposals.
  • Present & Negotiate: Co-present multimedia campaign proposals and negotiate terms and pricing.
  • Smooth Transitions: Ensure a seamless transition for new clients to the Media Consultant team.
  • Track & Report: Monitor performance, develop plans to exceed budgets, and prepare sales forecasts and activity reports.
  • Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Cox in local events and industry associations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of a master's degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Background in sales, business development, or sales consultation preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred: Degree in sales, advertising, or marketing with at least 2 years of media sales experience. Telecommunications industry experience is highly desirable.

Salary range: USD 42,700.00 - 64,100.00 per year.

Compensation includes a base salary and the possibility of an annual commission of USD 52,300.00 - 78,300.00.
