About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development and Marketing to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of reshaping public education. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising plan, with the goal of raising significant funds to support the organization's initiatives. This includes collaborating with the CEO to identify new fundraising sources, managing a core team, and establishing a robust system for donor engagement and stewardship. The VP of Development and Marketing will also spearhead the integrated brand and engagement strategy, ensuring that the organization is positioned as a trusted voice for education policy reform. Essential responsibilities encompass fundraising strategy, marketing, communications, and community engagement, as well as infrastructure and data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission, at least 10 years' of experience in fundraising, marketing, business development, or strategic partnerships, and a proven track record in digital fundraising and marketing campaigns. They should be adept at utilizing CRM software, have strong analytical skills, and be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The role requires a strategic yet hands-on approach, the ability to work with a high level of efficiency and attention to detail, and a talent for fostering strong cross-department relationships. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree being a plus, and the candidate should be a reliable team player, leading with humility and adaptability.
