Overview

TurboTax, the leader in tax preparation services, is on a mission to deliver a new era of people-centric tax experiences that inspires confidence in everyone. Our in-house agency, Spring, brings that mission to life through innovative campaigns and initiatives that position TurboTax at the forefront of the industry. We root ourselves in service, lead with transparency, and innovate with purpose in our dedication to fueling financial progress. You’re a concept-first creative who brings strong storytelling instincts, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset to every project. As a Creative copywriter at Spring, you’ll help shape TurboTax’s brand voice and marketing presence across campaigns, product experiences, and content. You think in ideas, not just words—and you know how to bring a creative vision to life in partnership with designers, marketers, and cross-functional stakeholders. You’re energized by the entire creative process—from brief to brainstorm to launch—and bring a steady hand and clear perspective along the way. You can drive creative development with confidence, contribute ideas that ladder up to strategy, and move fluidly between big-picture thinking and detailed execution. If you love collaborating to build work that’s bold, smart, and culturally relevant, this role is for you.

What you\'ll bring

  • Concept development: Collaborate with designers, marketers, and strategists to develop integrated concepts and campaigns that connect with our audience and elevate the brand
  • Business acumen: Leverages strong data fluency to analyze performance metrics and market trends, translating insights into strategic content decisions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Data mindsight: Understand KPIs, channel insights and product signals that best impact creative development, while knowing how to translate this to impactful copy
  • Creative stewardship: Bring clarity and creative direction to projects from kickoff to final delivery, ensuring work aligns with business goals and brand strategy
  • Cross-functional partnership: Serve as a trusted creative partner to internal stakeholders across marketing, product, and operations—building strong relationships and ensuring alignment throughout the process
  • Inspire and influence: Bring energy, insight, and creativity to the team—helping shape ideas, offer constructive feedback, and raise the bar on creative quality
  • Champion the brand: Help maintain consistency across touchpoints, evolve our brand voice, and contribute to the long-term creative vision for TurboTax
  • Support operational excellence: Work closely with project managers and creative ops to scope work, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution without sacrificing quality
  • World-class standards: Push for bold, culturally relevant, and high-impact creative that positions TurboTax among the most respected and innovative brands—never settling for “good enough”
  • Zeitgeist Pulse: Keen sense of cultural nous that helps steer the team towards vendors, directors and creative partners that are of the moment and resonate with our brand and audiences

How you will lead

  • Experience on a creative team (agency or in-house), with a portfolio that shows your ability to develop strong, insight-led ideas across campaign and brand experiences
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including design, strategy, marketing, and product to bring ideas to life across a variety of channels
  • Strong concepting skills and creative vision, with an eye for storytelling, tone, and integrated brand expression
  • A track record of work that drives impact, supports business goals, and resonates with audiences
  • Understanding of how to apply creative strategy and messaging frameworks across touchpoints
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, confidently, and persuasively to both creative peers and business stakeholders
  • Ability to balance creativity with clear communication, managing timelines and feedback to keep projects on track

  • Cultural curiosity and awareness—an ability to tap into the zeitgeist and bring fresh, relevant ideas to the table
