Overview

Adjunct Asst. Professor - Graphic Design, Studio Art, Interaction Design, Art History, Photography at Farmingdale State College. Periodically adjunct teaching positions become available in the Visual Communications Department. The three main focus areas are graphic design, interaction design, and art history. Specific subject areas include traditional and digital media courses: drawing, 2D, 3D, and 4D design; color theory; typography; graphic design; digital media; photography; pastels; calligraphy; watercolor; acrylic painting; illustration; advertising; web design. Responsibilities

• Submit a resume with a cover letter indicating relevant areas of expertise, professional and teaching experience, as well as specific courses qualified to teach. Also indicate if interested in teaching one or two courses and day or evening availability.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A master\'s degree is required.
• Current professional work and experience in studio art, graphic design, web design, created within the last 5–10 years.
• Demonstrated mastery of craft and expertise in current tools and technologies.
• Submit a CV or resume, 10–12 samples of design work (pdf or link to a website). May also include five samples of student work (pdf or link to a website).
