Overview

Video Content Developer role at BELFOR Franchise Group (BFG). In this role, you will capture and produce video content to be used mainly on social media that showcases our brand, services, and franchisee success stories. You will be responsible for the entire video production process, from ideation through to final editing. Travel will be required to film BFG events, on-site services, and interviews with franchisees. This is an in-office position in Ann Arbor, MI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideation & Concept Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop video content ideas that align with the brand’s marketing goals, target audience, and messaging.
  • Scriptwriting & Storyboarding: Create detailed scripts, storyboards, and shot lists for each video project to ensure a cohesive narrative from beginning to end.
  • Filming: Travel to various BFG locations, franchisee businesses, and events to film high-quality video footage of services being performed, interviews with franchisees, customer testimonials, and other key moments.
  • The candidate must be comfortable on camera and willing to represent BFG brands with a professional and engaging demeanor.
  • Sound & Audio: Record high-quality audio and manage sound overlays, including voiceovers, music, and ambient sound, ensuring clear and professional sound quality for each project.
  • Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Add effects, transitions, titles, and overlays to enhance storytelling.
  • Branding & Visuals: Ensure all video content maintains consistency with BFG’s branding and visual guidelines.
  • Post-Production: Handle final stages of video production, including color correction, audio mixing, final export, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and accuracy standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and communications teams to ensure video content supports larger campaign strategies and objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage video production timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, with regular stakeholder updates and feedback.
  • Content Distribution: Prepare and optimize video content for distribution on social media, websites, YouTube, and internal communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
  • Proven ability to create professional-grade videos from ideation through final delivery.
  • Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting setups, and sound recording techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple video projects simultaneously.
  • Strong storytelling skills with an ability to capture emotional and compelling content.
  • Comfortable on camera and able to represent BFG brands professionally.
  • Ability to travel frequently to shoot on-location at events, franchisee businesses, and other locations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people, including franchisees and business owners.
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A creative, self-motivated individual who takes ownership of projects and produces high-quality work.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Familiarity with social media video optimization (aspect ratios, video lengths, captions).
  • Experience in the restoration or service industry is a plus.
  • Experience in creating branded content for businesses or franchises.
