Overview

Associate Director, Podcast & Video Producer/Editor based out of our New York office. The role focuses on building and growing a compelling podcast and contributing to multi-format content from Fitch. It is suitable for a creative, strategic thinker with deep expertise in podcast/video production, content planning and audience development. Reporting to the Global Head of Multimedia, the Producer/Editor will partner with the content marketing director and in-house production teams to create high-quality, engaging podcasts that enhance Fitch’s brand and market position.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Direct and execute on-site and remote recording sessions for podcasts, including scripting, editing, and post-production workflows (e.g., mixing, leveling, graphic overlays, captions, final exports, and short content).
  • Provide recommendations on lighting, recording setup, editing workflow, sound design, and distribution platforms to ensure professional production quality.
  • Collaborate with the reporting manager and content marketing teams to define the development plan for the podcast and subsequent series.
  • Support editorial direction for the podcast, ensuring alignment with Fitch’s brand and style guides.
  • Support production of related video and audio content for go-to-market and promotion on YouTube and social platforms.
  • Analyze podcast metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement in content delivery and audience reach.
  • Stay ahead of podcast and video trends and developments in AI multimedia creation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a video/podcast producer, with scripting, recording, editing, and delivering audio and video content.
  • Strong experience working with in-house studio and remote production teams, and collaboration with outsourced vendors to produce cohesive, on-brand content across mixed-location shoots.
  • Strong working knowledge of finance industry content and topics from prior experience.
  • Experience working with marketing and business partners to build and grow a podcast audience.
  • Expertise in audio storytelling, editing, and production workflows; creative video experience with split-screen layouts, on-screen text, and engaging visuals.
  • Ability to elicit natural performances from non-actors.
  • Familiarity with distribution platforms and analytics tools; leverages data-driven insights to maximize audience growth.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills; able to produce quality content on schedule.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Expected base pay for the role will be between 80,000 and 100,000 per year. Actual salaries are determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which may also include additional incentives and benefits.
