Position

Part-Time Library Assistant

$20./hour, 19 hours, week. PT employment includes NJ Sick leave and enrollment in NJ DCRP.

Anticipated schedule: Thursdays 9am-2pm, Fridays 9am-5pm, Saturdays 9am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Help patrons at the circulation desk and with computers and mobile devices.
• Shelving and occasional outreach engagement.
• Library use can vary throughout the year and the successful candidate will appreciate the steady off-season atmosphere, as well as a very active summer season.

Qualifications

• Customer service and/or teaching experience, required.
• Experience working in a public library, preferred.
• Team player, looking for part-time employment, who enjoys serving the public.
• Communication and technology skills to connect with patrons onsite and online.
• Comfort with varying levels of foot traffic.
