Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Our focus will also go well beyond hard-hitting news and iconoclastic opinion. The nationally recognized Page Six will bring its sassy and brassy attitude directly to the entertainment capital of the world. The California Post Sports department will deliver muscular coverage of the biggest teams in town, from the locker room to the front office. Our Tech team will reveal the latest innovators and innovations that will shape the nation’s future. Los Angeles is one of the great cities of the world, and it’s time L.A. – and California at large – had a bold, new voice. The California Post will be that voice. California, here we come!
Responsibilities
- Lead breaking news coverage of entertainment and media, filing fast, accurate, and engaging copy throughout the day
- Chase scoops and exclusives while also contributing enterprise stories that provide context and analysis
- Develop and maintain strong sources across Hollywood, media, music, and digital platforms
- Monitor social media, court filings, industry announcements, and competitor outlets for breaking stories
- Pitch quick-turn stories with fresh angles that resonate with Page Six’s readership
- Collaborate with enterprise reporters and editors to support larger investigative projects
- Appear on-camera and across social platforms to discuss breaking stories and expand reach
Requirements
- At least 5 years of newsroom reporting experience, ideally with a focus on breaking news in entertainment, media, or business
- Proven ability to work quickly under deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy and flair
- Experience chasing scoops in fast-moving, competitive environments
- Strong knowledge of entertainment and media news, with a solid base of industry contacts
- Excellent writing and reporting skills with clips that show speed, clarity, and voice
- Comfort working nights, weekends, and flexible hours as news breaks
- Strong social media skills and comfort using digital tools to track breaking stories
Note: The New York Post Media Group adheres to a hybrid work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 4 days per week (subject to change depending on business needs).
