Overview

Part-time Tutoring Specialist, Math Studio at Inside Higher Ed. The Math Studio seeks mathematically-minded individuals with an interest in teaching or part-time tutoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in algebra courses.
• Assist instructors in performance of their duties.
• Assist with proctoring as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Reports to: Academic Lab Manager, Math Studio.

Qualifications

Required: A Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in a STEM discipline. A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred: Experience tutoring is preferred.

• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
• Communication - able to effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.
• Relationship Management - able to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
