Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lubbock, TX, for an IT/TECH Operations Manager at LISD-TV. The IT/TECH Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including managing technical support and troubleshooting, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all technical aspects. The role involves analytical tasks as well as hands-on operations management to maintain and improve the technical infrastructure of LISD-TV.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Advanced certification preferred
  • Teacher’s certification preferred

Special Knowledge:

Experience in broadcast industry or IT required

Experience:

At least three years of experience working in broadcast and/or IT setting.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive and maintain mobile production truck and the equipment therein which includes working with students and staff on the mobile production crew during events
  • Operate Master Control
  • a. Create playlist for on-air server and quality control for on-air
  • b. Develop a program guide and schedule programming as needed.
  • c. Distribute guide for cable stations and other TV distribution networks.
  • d. Coordinate as needed for distribution of signal
  • 3. Maintain and repair edit systems, cameras, and other studio and TV equipment including keeping up with future technology needs
  • 5. Produce content as needed
  • 6. Future teaching duties
  • 7. Duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours. Working outside at times in cold and heat.
