This is a hybrid role out of our Downtown Milwaukee office and requires regular in-office presence.
You’ll contribute as an Associate UX Researcher from the start, conducting end-to-end research, organizing data, creating deliverables, and ensuring research is visible and reusable to inform decisions across digital product teams and business units.
Responsibilities
- Field and Applied Research: Contribute across the DCX Research Phases with a strong emphasis on fieldwork and hands-on engagement from planning and participant coordination to conducting primary and secondary research and translating those interactions into actionable insights.
- Qualitative and Quantitative Methods: Apply a mix of methods to uncover user needs, behaviors, motivations, and pain points in support of digital initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with initiative owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to align on scope and deliver research that supports project needs.
- Participant Sourcing: Recruit, screen, and schedule participants using established recruiting tools and standards, as well as other sourcing activities, to ensure quality representation in studies.
- Data Analysis and Synthesis: Organize and analyze research data in tools like Dovetail, identify patterns, and contribute to or create deliverables such as personas, journey maps, and executive summaries, with opportunities to take ownership as experience grows.
- Effective Communication and Deliverables: Contribute to the creation and presentation of clear, engaging deliverables that highlight insights and support decision-making, like journey maps, personas, service blueprints or research readouts. Maintain visibility of research projects through tools like Craft.io, Dovetail and research plans.
- Knowledge Management: Support knowledge sharing by archiving outputs in accessible systems, tagging research for re-mining, and ensuring insights can be reused across portfolios.
- UXR Operations: Support the health and efficiency of the UX Research practice by following established processes and contributing to scalable operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human–Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Factors, Information Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 1–2 years of experience as a UX researcher or in a related research field.
- Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, field studies, surveys, and basic data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share findings in impactful ways. Strong presentation skills. Comfort and experience in communicating insights to a wide range of audiences.
- Collaborative approach, with a focus on building trust across teams.
- Must include a link to an up-to-date, online portfolio or shareable work examples to be considered.

Working Conditions
- This position requires 25%–30% travel for field research, based on business needs. This does not include necessary travel to our various corporate locations.
