We are looking for self-motivated, passionate and resourceful Software Development Engineers with Machine Learning and/or Applied Science experience to build and guide machine learning models from the ground up. You will be a hands-on ML practitioner and engineering leader, playing a key role on the team and delivering solutions that benefit millions of Amazon.com customers worldwide.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions for Prime Video Recommendation and Personalization systems using deep learning, GenAI, reinforcement learning, and optimization methods
• Collaborate with applied scientists, engineers, and product managers to design, implement, and launch AI solutions end-to-end
• Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on in-depth data analyses
• Communicate technical and non-technical ideas effectively with teammates and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field

About The Team

Prime Video Recommendation Science and Engineering team owns ML solutions that power recommendation and personalization experiences across Prime Video surfaces and devices.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience with large-scale machine learning systems or applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building large-scale recommendation systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year to $261,500/year, with variation based on location, experience, and other factors. Amazon is a total compensation company.
