Job Details: We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Landscape Designer / Project Manager to join our dynamic engineering team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to design and manage residential projects, contributing to the creation of beautiful, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape design, project management, and residential projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of passionate professionals, while also having the autonomy to lead projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities: Design and manage various residential landscape projects, ensuring they meet our high standards and client expectations. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources needed, and oversee their successful execution. Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure project success. Use your creativity and technical skills to create innovative and sustainable landscape designs. Conduct site analyses, including the assessment of soil, lighting, and water conditions, as well as overall environmental and cultural context. Prepare and present design proposals and reports to clients and stakeholders. Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and guidelines. Continually communicate project status to stakeholders, making adjustments as needed to ensure project success. Conduct quality control checks, ensuring the project's final outcome aligns with the design concept.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape design and project management, preferably within the residential sector. Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant applications. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey design concepts and plans to clients and stakeholders. Strong knowledge of plants, materials, and construction techniques used in landscape design. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome project challenges and ensure project success. Strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and guidelines related to landscape design. A portfolio demonstrating a strong design aesthetic and technical skillset. Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license is a plus. A valid driver’s license as site visits may be required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative problem solving.
