Overview
Tallahassee State College (TSC) is excited to announce an opening for the position of Part-Time Librarian with Information Literacy and Research. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
Responsibilities
- Answering questions and assisting with research in person and by telephone and with other technologies.
- Assisting library users in the use of print and on-line resources and in locating materials.
- Responding to routine problems that library users may encounter with computers, printers, copiers, software and other technology.
- Maintaining currency regarding reference, research, and database sources.
- Performing other position specific functions as assigned.
- Opening and closing the library, as needed.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday; 20 – 25 hours per week
Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications
- Master of Library and Information Science Degree from an ALA-accredited institution or currently in school for a Master of Library Science or Master of Science Information Degree.
- Some customer service and library experience preferred.

What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of $20.00 per hour (degree earned) and $19.00 per hour (degree in progress).
