  • Checking in/out materials
  • Keeping library spaces and books organized
  • Shelving books
  • Pulling materials from the ASRS
  • Some cleaning
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Ability to understand the Library of Congress classification system. Computer skills.

Job Description Summary

This job will staff the front desk of Fant Memorial Library, providing needed help to patrons. The essential duties are all related to providing research and technology help for patrons, circulating materials, continually organizing spaces/books, assisting with projects, and managing spaces. The library is a rapidly changing environment, and other duties may be assigned as needed. We provide training on all duties.

Hours of Availability

Up to 20 hours per week during library hours: 7:30am – 10pm Monday – Thursday; 7:30am – 5pm Fridays; 9am – 5pm Saturdays; and 12pm – 10pm Sundays.
