Reports to: 4DX Product Leadership

Location: Remote - Anywhere in the contiguous US

Compensation: Anticipated compensation for this position is $123-$170k salary.

Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Product Designer to join the 4DX Platform team. The 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) is FranklinCovey’s framework for helping teams achieve their most important goals through Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), lead measures, scoreboards, and accountability cadence. You will lead design, research, UX, and UI efforts across a modernized rebuild of the 4DX platform for mobile and web, and influence how leaders and teams execute their goals with clear, intuitive, and engaging experiences. Your primary focus will be the 4DX platform; you will also contribute ~25% of time to projects for the Franklin Covey Impact Platform, an AI-enabled, multi-modal learning system that drives measurable behavior change at scale.

Responsibilities

  • User Experience Research: Plan and conduct user interviews, usability tests, and workflow studies to understand admin and learner needs, pain points, and goals. Translate findings into actionable design insights.
  • Product Design (UX & UI): Deliver sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for end-to-end features. Ensure designs are user-centered, mobile-first, and scalable across the platform.
  • Design Systems & Standards: Contribute to the evolution of FranklinCovey’s design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and usability across all touchpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver high-quality product experiences. As the lead designer on the 4DX platform, exercise autonomy and responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in product design, including UX research, UI, desktop and mobile design. Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work (research through polished UI). Experience at a B2B tech company or startup building digital products.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience with design systems, accessibility best practices, instructional design, and incorporating AI into UX/UI. Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Asana). Experience designing for SaaS, learning platforms, or B2B/B2C web and mobile applications. Self-directed and able to work directly with cross-functional partners. Mission-driven with enthusiasm for helping individuals and teams achieve their goals. Collaborative, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment balancing research and delivery.
