ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated full-stack web application developer (contract) with exceptional programming skills, contributing to the research efforts for various vaccine research programs.

This individual will join as a member of Next-gen. Sequencing / Data Science to support scientific web application development projects. You will be actively coding to deliver scientific application platforms for diverse viral and bacterial vaccine research projects.

You will be in the project meetings to present, communicate, and collect feedback to improve the products. A successful candidate will be passionate about problem solving, full-stack application development, and process automation to provide easy-to-use computational tools and large-scale database platforms.

Additionally, this role involves exposure to AI/ML knowledge and the integration of AI/ML components into web applications. The ideal candidate should be willing and enthusiastic about incorporating AI/ML techniques to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the web applications.

This is a contract position with a strong potential for extensions and conversion to a full-time position depending on performances and availability.

Role Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications in Django framework
• Write well-structured, clean, and maintainable codes with clear comments and documentation
• Implementing the applications and bug fixes in timely manner
• Develop code that demonstrates best practices and follows industry standards
• Integrate cutting-edge AI/ML tools into the web application.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in Django framework.
• 2+ years of strong coding in python required.
• Experience with SQL and MongoDB preferred.
• Solid understanding of front-end tools (such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript) with Ajax required.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Proficient in AI/ML workflows and concepts required. Experience in AI/ML is strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of biological molecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins is preferred.
• Excellent task planning, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
