Job Description

The Binghamton Theatre Department is part of the new School of the Arts, which brings together the departments of Art and Design, Art History, Cinema, Music, and Theatre. The successful candidate will be inclined to work collaboratively with colleagues in support of new and ongoing initiatives within and beyond the department, as appropriate. The position is part of the Harpur College of Arts and Sciences multi-year cluster hiring initiative, Arts Practice, Performance and Research in the 21st Century.

Binghamton offers a Bachelor of Arts in theatre with concentrations in acting/directing, design/technical theatre, and dance; a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre; and a Master of Arts in theatre. Because Binghamton students are notable for their high-achieving academic record, students in these degree programs seek to explore dramaturgical and artistic depth. In addition to courses in a wide range of techniques, students participate in main stage and studio productions ranging from the classical to the contemporary, including musicals, plays, and dance productions.
