Position Overview
Cumulus Media | Westwood One has an immediate opening for a full-time Full Stack Web Developer to support the Engineering team in maintaining >99.999 reliability of broadcast systems. The ideal candidate will be action oriented, customer focused, have great communication skills, be an active listener, have the ability to work as a team, problem solve and the ability to remain calm under pressure. This is a hybrid role, with ability to work both onsite and remotely.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust web applications with a focus on high availability and reliability for broadcast systems.
- Manage and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our web applications.
- Utilize proactive monitoring tools and develop solutions to ensure exceptional quality of service and system stability.
- Collaborate with Westwood One Engineering, IT, and Operations departments to integrate broadcast systems and software seamlessly.
- Coordinate with the VP of Network Technology on daily activities and project milestones.
- Engage in coding, testing, and production rollout of various software solutions, including new web features and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues at the source code level for web applications and related systems.
- Assist colleagues with technical issues and implement effective resolutions.
- Manage multiple situations effectively, especially during emergency scenarios, with a logical and methodical approach.
- Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable expertise in web development technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (SASS), JavaScript (jQuery), and PHP.
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails and general Ruby scripting.
- Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub.
- Proficiency in database administration with experience in MySQL, MS-SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows (10, 11) and Server operating systems.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu and Red Hat-based distributions.
- Experience in a DevOps environment, including familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and services like S3, EC2, etc.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and/or Docker is highly recommended.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Commitment to continuous education to maintain knowledge of the latest systems and technologies.
Work Environment/Physical Activities: - Work may be performed in a Network Operations Center and/or a remote location.
- Regular and consistent attendance is required, including availability for maintenance window work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve medium-to-complex technical issues.
