Overview

Python API Developer NM Jobs in New York, NY at Top Level Consultancy. We are seeking a talented Python API Developer to design, build, and maintain APIs and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python frameworks and experience in developing scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
• Integrate APIs with databases, third-party services, and frontend applications.
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security standards.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams for end-to-end development.
• Debug, test, and resolve technical issues in API services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs using Python and other related technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 per annum. This is a W2-Permanent position with the possibility of a W2-Contract.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in IT Software
• US Citizenship, Green Card, or H4
• Have published at least one original Python app

Skills

• Proficient with Python, and familiar with its ecosystems
• Experience with Ab Initio and other ETL Tools
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
