The University of West Georgia has realized significant undergraduate and graduate growth in enrollment and expanded academic programs in recent years. To meet increased student demand for courses, UWG is expanding course offerings and faculty and staff positions, and we expect to continue to grow into the future for many years to come.

Academic Affairs is continuously seeking faculty with strong teaching and student support skills, and we regularly hire part-time and limited-term faculty (in addition to new tenure-track faculty). These part-time and limited-term positions can lead into more long-term positions, including instructors, lecturers, and tenure-track faculty positions, as part of the UWG faculty recruitment process. Teaching part time and as a limited-term faculty member gives you a chance to experience the UWG community and expand your career opportunities.
Limited-term faculty involve teaching courses (typically four or five courses per semester, negotiable with the dean), some service, and some professional development. You will be supported by friendly colleagues in your discipline with course materials, mentorship, and other resources. As a full-time faculty member, you will have complete access to all institutional resources to aid your success.
