ICONA- Content Creator and Social Media Strategist

Job title: Content Creator and Social Media Strategist. Classification: Exempt. Reports To: Director of Marketing. This is a full-time role with standard office hours and occasional evenings or weekends for events as needed.

Overview

The Content Creator and Social Media Strategist combines content creation expertise with strategic social media planning. This role involves developing and executing content strategies aligned with brand goals, creating engaging content across various platforms, and analyzing performance to optimize future efforts. The incumbent is responsible for generating creative content, managing social media accounts, and fostering community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop and manage original, high-quality content for blogs, social media, email newsletters, and websites. Create engaging copy, visuals, and video content tailored to platform specifications. Collaborate with design, video, and product teams to align messaging and branding.
• Social Media Strategy & Management: Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with brand goals. Manage daily posting, scheduling, and community engagement across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.). Analyze performance metrics and use data to inform future content and campaigns. Monitor trends, hashtags, and emerging platforms to stay ahead of the curve.
• Campaign Planning & Execution: Plan and execute social media campaigns, product launches, influencer partnerships, and promotions. Coordinate content calendars and ensure timely delivery of all campaigns. Test and iterate on content formats to optimize performance.
• Analytics & Reporting: Track KPIs and prepare monthly performance reports. Use analytics tools to derive insights and recommend optimizations based on performance data.
• Other: Weekly attendance at Aloha Culture Meeting.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting and on-site at ICONA hotels, resorts, restaurants and beaches. Routine use of standard office equipment and digital cameras.

Physical Demands & Environment

The role is largely sedentary, but may require moving around properties to take photos or create content. The job may require lifting or moving props and standing or sitting for extended periods. Refer to the ICONA Handbook for policy details.

Position Type and Hours

Full-time. Generally Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with required evenings and weekends for special events or as duties demand.

Travel

Some travel between properties and overnight stays for special events or meetings are expected.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing; hospitality experience is highly beneficial.
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful social media projects and content creation efforts.
