CBS News and Stations is hiring: Assignment Editor in Miami

Overview

WFOR is looking for an aggressive Assignment Editor who has a passion for news and a desire to win the big story. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop community stories that have true impact in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Manage news crews and assignments
• Manage logistics under intense deadlines
• Monitor phones, scanners and social media
• Contribute to daily editorial meetings
• Review news releases and monitor local news sources
• Produce content and post to digital platforms

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years assignment desk experience
• Flexible with schedule: breaking news, cover any shifts that need coverage

Additional Qualifications

• College degree is preferred, but not required
• Expert multi-tasker who thrives under pressure
