Knife Drop Studios, the production company behind celebrity chef and social media personality Nick DiGiovanni, is hiring a full-time VFX Video Editor to drive the creative vision and execution of motion graphics and visual effects for our channels.

Overview

We’re hiring a full-time VFX Editor to drive the creative vision and execution of motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects for our content across YouTube (28M+ subscribers) and beyond.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a highly skilled, imaginative, and detail-oriented VFX Editor who can bring ideas to life through stunning visuals that elevate storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to help shape the look and feel of one of the biggest food channels on YouTube.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 3–5+ years of professional VFX editing experience
  • Deep expertise in the Adobe suite (especially After Effects and Premiere)
  • Proven ability to design and composite 2D/3D graphics, motion tracking, and visual effects
  • Strong instincts for visual storytelling—knowing how effects enhance pacing, structure, and retention
  • Exceptional attention to detail in keying, rotoscoping, tracking, and compositing
  • Experience collaborating with editors and producers to integrate VFX seamlessly into projects
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset, with flexibility to adapt to evolving creative needs
  • A degree in film, animation, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Bonus: experience with color, sound design and mixing audio

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creative vision and execution of motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects for content across YouTube and other channels
  • Design and integrate 2D/3D graphics, track motion, and apply visual effects to support storytelling
  • Collaborate with editors and producers to ensure VFX align with pacing and narrative goals
  • Maintain high-quality work and attention to detail in keying, rotoscoping, tracking, and compositing
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
