What You’ll Do
- The Mortgage Account Executive provides support and information to new prospects and customers regarding mortgage products and financial alternatives available at FirstBank.
- Participates in product orientations and marketing promotions.
- Analyzes customer needs for preliminary determination of financial eligibility according to each product’s parameters and determines the corresponding product as per the customer’s needs.
- Processes and submits customer applications to Processing Unit and supports the customer throughout the financing process.
- Develops a sales plan aligned to business objectives.
- Adheres to the Bank’s BSA, AML and OFAC policies and follows unit procedures in compliance with these policies.
- Reports any suspicious activity and/or transactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and completes mandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training as required.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Develop and execute a strategic work plan for marketing and prospecting new clients.
- Organize and participate in activities with potential companies, conventions, special events and/or activities.
- Maintain leads updated in the Contact Manager System.
- Interview customers and evaluate financial eligibility.
- Fill and complete mortgage loan applications.
- Analyze all prospects’ information (income, expenses, credit) to perform preliminary eligibility and loan type determinations.
- Support customers in selecting the most suitable financing decision based on established needs.
- Gather all pre-qualification documents and request payment for the origination process.
- Compile and organize all client information by loan type and process documents to accelerate the approval process; may visit customers to complete required information.
- Process and enter customer information into the mortgage system.
- Prepare customer files and deliver to the Processing Unit.
- Follow supervisor’s instructions for contacting prospects/possible clients by telephone.
- Complete and participate in trainings, seminars and meetings as assigned for professional development.
- Work on special assignments and support other First Mortgage units as required and offer support to management as requested.
Competencies
- Knowledge of Mortgage FHA, VA, RURAL, Conforming, and Non-Conforming lending process requirements and documentation.
- Excellent sales and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills in Spanish; English is preferable.
- Use of marketing and advertising techniques to locate potential clients.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and mortgage applications such as E-3.
- Knowledge of mortgage regulations/industry.
What You’ll Need
- An equivalent combination of academic curriculum and years of experience could be considered for the job.
- Employee must comply with all requirements related to the CFPB’s Loan Originator Rule and the Secure and Fair Enforcement Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) and its regulations, including maintaining an active NMLSR record and unique identifier, continuing education as required by the SAFE Act.
