We have an opportunity for a Court Reporter. We are seeking qualified individuals responsible to provide court reporting services using traditional stenographic or voice writing equipment within assigned courtrooms or other court proceedings. The ideal candidate shall possess a current Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) certificate issued by the Court Reporters' Board of California, possess real-time skills and report court proceedings at a rate of 200 words per minute. This position is not eligible for compressed work schedules or remote work options.

Responsibilities

  • Provide court reporting services in assigned courtrooms or court proceedings using traditional stenographic or voice writing equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary: $132,267.20
  • Recruitment payment of $10,000 upon completion of probation
  • Finder's Fee payment of up to $5,000
  • Reimbursement for annual Court Reporter license fees
  • Up to 12% differential for hours worked performing real-time reporting

Qualifications and Selection Process

  • Oral interview (in person or virtual) for successful candidates, with interview outcomes contributing to the eligible list.
  • Placement on the eligible list is not a guarantee of employment.
