CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Test Automation Developer - UI/UX within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Test Automation Developer - UI/UX is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to validate the functionality, performance, and user experience of software applications\' user interfaces. This role requires strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript, proficiency with UI automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright, and deep collaboration with developers and product teams to integrate automated testing into the development lifecycle and ensure high-quality user interfaces.

CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Test Automation Frameworks: Design, build, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts for UI and API testing.
  • Create Test Scripts: Write and adapt automated test scripts for web and mobile applications, focusing on user interface functionality and user experience.
  • Integrate into CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain automated tests within continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support frequent and reliable software releases.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA analysts to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Test Environment Management: Create and manage necessary test data and environments for effective testing.
  • Analyze Test Results and Reporting: Execute automated tests, analyze the results, and report findings to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
  • Troubleshoot and Optimize: Identify and troubleshoot issues within automation scripts and the testing infrastructure to improve performance and coverage.

Qualifications

Journeyman

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • UI Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
  • Testing Frameworks: Cucumber, TestNG
  • API Testing Tools: Postman, SOAP UI
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git
  • Version Control: Git
  • Agile Methodologies: Active participation in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills

Senior

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • UI Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
  • Testing Frameworks: Cucumber, TestNG
  • API Testing Tools: Postman, SOAP UI
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git
  • Version Control: Git
  • Agile Methodologies: Active participation in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills

SME

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly

  • Testing Frameworks: Cucumber, TestNG

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current range in the U.S. is estimated at $100,000.00 - $200,000.00, depending on factors such as skill, level, experience, training, and certifications.
