Role Summary Costello Medical are growing quickly through demand from both new and existing clients and are therefore looking for candidates with prior experience in medical affairs and/or publications who enjoy content delivery, as well as project and client management, to join us as Senior Medical Writers in our Medical Communications team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our expansion in the US market. Senior Medical Writers take a leading role across projects, providing strategic advice to clients, supervising the project team, and producing high-quality scientific content themselves. They ensure projects are delivered to an exceptionally high standard and in line with agreed timelines. This role involves regular client communication, project planning, reviewing colleagues’ work, providing constructive feedback, scientific writing, and contributing to business development by identifying new clients, writing proposals, and building and maintaining excellent client relationships. You will be based in our office in Boston, MA.
Compensation Base pay range : $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr. Salary is determined by qualifications and experience, with established salary bands to ensure fair and consistent assessment.

Requirements & About You Essential requirements A degree-level qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum GPA 3.3); fields include biology, chemistry, pharmacy, medicine
At least 2 years of professional experience in medical communications (agency setting preferred)
Strong scientific writing skills and ability to tailor writing style to audiences
Project management skills for timely delivery
Attention to detail and high written accuracy
Excellent written English and arithmetic
Experience supporting junior colleagues’ learning and development
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for high-standard deliverables
Ability to provide client-facing recommendations on content and approach
Capacity to maintain high service quality under multiple demands
Experience in client communications and building robust client relationships
Ability to motivate colleagues and take a leadership role in project delivery
