Overview Interior Designer | Residential Interior Design — Chicago, IL Hybrid working style – ability to travel to the studio and projects when needed. This is an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to join a design team that creates welcoming spaces and supports the design process from initial conceptualization through construction. The role focuses on confidently supporting and designing luxurious residential projects with opportunities to contribute across stages from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities Support multiple client projects at different phases, from design development through to completion of construction/installation Support the management of ongoing project deliverables for clients and contractors Finish and fixtures selections and specifications Develop design boards and other visual communication techniques to communicate an overall design concept, and finish and fixture selections Specify furnishings, wall coverings, floor coverings, and other decorative elements Specify architectural elements such as doors, windows, flooring, and millwork Support delivering on-time and on-budget projects Develop construction documents, elevation drawings, millwork drawings, plumbing and electrical schematics, details, schedules and specs Support with project management and administration throughout construction Qualifications 4+ years of experience in the residential interior design field Proficient with AutoCAD Experience in residential design, renovations, and construction project management Knowledge of finishes, fixtures, materials, and specifications and ability to meet independently with clients to discuss pricing, selections, and drawings Familiarity with residential design standards and construction processes Ability to travel to projects, industry events, etc. when needed Strong visual, oral, and written communication skills Ability to work self-sufficiently and think independently Compensation and Benefits Note: This section reflects the original listing language; benefits include competitive annual salary and full benefits.
