This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. At Epic, our guiding principle is to make our products a joy to use. As a UX Designer, you'll act as the lead experience and visual designer for several development teams, setting the direction for joyful design. You will meet with end-users to understand their needs, research workflows, and observe applications in context. You will work with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with sound information architecture, demonstrating your ideas with sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead experience and visual designer for several development teams.
  • Define direction for joyful design and align with end-user needs.
  • Conduct user research, gather requirements, and observe workflows in context.
  • Collaborate with developers to create intuitive, beautiful applications with solid information architecture.
  • Convey design ideas across sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Qualifications

  • Available to start before June 2026.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user experience and visual design skills.
  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • COVID-19 vaccination.
