Olsson provides multidisciplinary, preliminary, and construction design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types.
Overview
As a Civil Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance/quality control for the team, providing senior level design review for the team, and attending client meetings. You will direct and manage project staff on technical aspects of projects. You may also travel to job sites at different stages in construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Directs and manages staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects.
- Plans and oversees the quality review process of project deliverables.
- Provides a consultative resource to clients for project resolution.
- Strengthens and further develops subject matter expertise in certain design areas.
- Provides senior-level design review for various projects on the team and acts as a resource for technical issues.
- May assist in the preparation of project studies by completing drawings, sketching, or acquiring data.
- Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work.
- Supervises and reviews assignments of less experienced staff.
Qualifications
- You are passionate about: Working collaboratively with others; Having ownership in the work you do; Using your talents to positively affect communities.
- You Bring To The Team: Strong communication skills; Ability to contribute and work well on a team; Associate Degree in Drafting; 10 years of CAD software experience (AutoCAD Civil 3d); Project Management skills for medium-sized projects.
