Overview

Yellowstone Club is a private residential community in Big Sky, Montana offering members a private ski and golf experience. The Winter employment months are November through April. The Photographer/Editor supports the development of quality photography materials, sessions and information; video capabilities are a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each Member and Guest receives outstanding service in a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every Member and Guest and maintaining high service standards.
• Guarantee total guest satisfaction, maintain hospitality and professionalism, and handle all guest transactions in a legal and ethical manner.
• Understand and apply property safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment; in emergencies, seek medical attention and contact management as needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to foster a positive working environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Photograph all major Yellowstone Club events.
• Import, label, organize, crop and edit photos with high attention to detail using Lightroom/Photoshop.
• Organize and upload photos and video assets to Dropbox for Design & Photography staff.
• Upload photos to the photography website for Members to purchase prints or digital assets.
• Provide superior customer service and educate Members on photography and print offerings.
• Coordinate Member photo sessions with the Design/Photography Manager.
• Execute private Member photoshoots with professionalism, courtesy and privacy.
• Maintain an organized day-to-day calendar demonstrating effective time management.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide photography for Design materials and maintain the Photography Desk area.
• Execute placement and shipment of photography orders.
• Assist in providing content for Yellowstone Club social media channels.
• Communicate with proper grammar and spelling to Membership and other departments.
• Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner per Club policies and standards of service.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and protect Member privacy.
• Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Experience/Education Required

• Photography portfolio. Video capability is a definite plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in photography or professional work experience equivalent.
• 5 years of professional photography experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong sense of design fundamentals: balance, composition, color, harmony; strong attention to detail, organization and quality.
• Ability to ski/snowboard in the winter season and proficiency to ski or ride black diamond runs.

Experience/Education Preferred

• Experience in Photoshop, Lightroom and Dreamweaver.

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid Driver’s License

Computer Skills

• Advanced computer skills; proficient in Adobe Suite Programs, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Language Ability

• Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments; able to write clearly with proper grammar and spelling.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work is in a climate-controlled environment with some outdoor exposure to weather; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
• Physical demands include walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, sustained sitting and computer use; skiing/snowboarding proficiency may be required in winter.
