Position Summary
The Innovation Media Studio Specialist is a part-time employee reporting to the Girl Innovation Program Specialist. Primary work location is the Inglewood Innovation Center (IIC); serves as the sole part-time on-site staff member on Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays. Responsibilities include planning, facilitating, and overseeing all programming, activities, and experiences in the Media Studio, with involvement in filming, editing, sound engineering, lighting, and content production for girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Also responsible for developing program materials and safety procedures used in the studio.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver experiences and programming in the NFL Media Studio for girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
- Coach and lead the media studio users in the use of all equipment and implement program activities for media literacy and digital development.
- Regularly supervise and provide feedback on the use of studio equipment.
- Maintain inventory of video and editing equipment and supplies.
- Maintain set-up, troubleshoot cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Manage storage of raw footage as prescribed by IT department.
- Maintain clear and positive written and verbal communication.
- Maintain an organized lab/classroom environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Deliver a fun and safe program that meets GSLE and NPP outcomes.
- Ensure program schedules are prepared and implemented to meet GSLE outcomes and user abilities.
- Deliver progressive program activities and evaluate their success in developing users’ abilities and skills.
- Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of the NFL Media Studio operations.
- Serve as a role model through communication, relationship development, and empowerment of youth; participate as a member of the IIC team to deliver weekend programs and other special programs.
- Assist with IIC user check-in and check-out and provide outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate with the Girl Innovation Program Specialist to create program facilitator guides, user instructions, and activity guides.
- Provide data and information to complete grant reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must be available for Friday, Saturday, and some Sunday studio sessions.
- Experience in youth programming, curriculum development, event planning, volunteer management or related fields in diverse populations preferred.
- Experience with filming, editing, audio mixing, lighting, and production management.
- Experience with vMix Streamdeck, Zoom P8 Audio console, Flypack Lighting Control, and Adobe Premiere Pro or similar equipment.
- Demonstrated success in working with volunteers.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator and team player with a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Technical computer skills in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to sit, use a computer, and move around the facilities as needed.
- Ability to travel via personal vehicle or public transportation to various facilities throughout the region.
- Able to perform job safely without endangering self or others.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check.

Recommended Education, Training, And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must be 18 years of age.

GSGLA Employee Requirements
- Comply with state-mandated reporter training.
