Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online Elementary School Writing tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from home.

Overview

Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student, up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Tutor remotely using our purpose-built Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students focused on Elementary School Writing.
• Offer Instant Tutoring by accepting on-demand tutoring requests when available.
• Utilize the Live Learning Platform features, including AI-powered tools, to support instruction and engagement.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; the platform handles payments and logistics.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Elementary School Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
