About the Role The photo producer is responsible for overseeing and executing Williams Sonoma and Williams Sonoma Home photo shoots across catalog, ecom, social, visual, and retail channels. The role ensures seamless photo shoots in studio and on location, with strong communication and relationship-building with in-house and freelance talent and cross-functional partners. The Photo Producer works with the Merchandise Coordinator team to identify merchandise/sample issues, troubleshoot, and resolve daily issues to ensure product samples are on set and ready to be photographed. This role operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and will face challenges in sample availability and quality. The role involves coordinating shot lists with the Art Directors and often managing pre-production time while on an active set. The Photo Producer handles practical and interpersonal aspects of keeping projects running smoothly, allowing the Art Director and hired talent to concentrate on the creative aspects. Responsibilities Order and procure all samples and props for photoshoots. Stay up to date on last-minute schedule or product changes. Solicit Art Director and Stylists for additional prop requests in advance. Request replacement options if a requested sample is not available. Maintain planning, prioritization, and strong communication. Problem-solve quickly and communicate updates to the Art Director and team in a timely manner. Make well-informed decisions that are best for the team. Oversee upkeep and organization of the photo studio and prop cage. Establish and maintain best practices and procedures. Ensure compliance with teammates and freelancers. Photo studio: weekly call sheet distribution, arranging craft services and crew catering, oversight of studio equipment, arranging equipment rentals if needed, deep-clean between seasons, and inventory of evergreen studio props. Prop cage: Manage sets and surfaces, maintain the set and surface library, ensure safety, and coordinate seasonal purge with ADs and fellow producers. Oversee and manage Merchandise Coordinator team, including training, scheduling, assigning tasks and deadlines, providing feedback, readjusting workload, and maintaining productivity. For location shoots, partner with the Art Director to scout locations, obtain COIs and permits, arrange parking, and book hotels if needed. Build positive relationships with location companies and homeowners. Plan details to ensure efficient shoots. Collaborate with the Art Director to keep shoots on pace. Assist the Photo Manager with booking talent (e.g., models, teachers, baristas) when necessary. The expected starting pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
