Overview

At Epic, our guiding principle is to make our products a joy to use. As a UX Designer, you'll act as the lead experience and visual designer for several development teams, setting the direction for joyful design. You'll meet with end-users to understand their needs, research workflows, and observe our applications in context. You'll then work with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with sound information architecture, and demonstrate ideas with sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Epic is located just outside Madison, Wisconsin, a growing tech talent market. The campus environment emphasizes collaboration and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experience and visual design for several development teams
  • Meet with end-users to understand needs and research workflows
  • Observe applications in context and translate findings into design concepts
  • Collaborate with developers to design intuitive, usable applications with solid information architecture
  • Develop designs at multiple fidelity levels: sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes

Qualifications

  • Solid portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
  • Bachelor's degree or greater
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Available to start before June 2026
