The Green Bay Area Public School District is seeking innovative and student-centered Library Media Specialists to join our team for the 2025–26 school year. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and promote robust, inclusive print and digital collections aligned with district curriculum
- Teach students and staff to evaluate and apply information for authentic learning experiences
- Provide digital resources that support student learning in both face-to-face and virtual environments
- Create flexible, engaging library spaces that foster inquiry, collaboration, and creativity
- Ensure equitable access to resources that reflect diverse identities and experiences
- Collaborate with staff and families to support safe and effective technology use in a 1:1 device environment
- Lead initiatives in digital citizenship, data privacy, and ethical information use
- Provide professional development for staff in information literacy and technology integration
- Analyze library collections and budgets to ensure accurate representation of the student body
- Build relationships through engaging library programming and community partnerships
- Model integrity, responsibility, and respect for intellectual freedom in all library practices
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin DPI license as a Library Media Specialist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of instructional technology, digital literacy, and curriculum integration
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Experience in school-based library media services is a plus
