Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students nationwide with online AP English Literature and Composition tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online instruction in AP English Literature and Composition.
• Personalize lessons to match student needs and learning styles.
• Explain concepts clearly and engage students with an interactive teaching approach.
• Adapt to different curricula and pacing; track student progress.
• Utilize Varsity Tutors tools and resources to support instruction.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition; ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Experience tutoring or teaching preferred; graduate-level education valued.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet and a suitable setup.

Compensation and Perks

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour, with potential to increase for specialized subjects; up to $40/hour with same-student sessions.
• Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Remote tutoring via Live Learning Platform; no commuting.
• AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time support and lesson generation.
• We handle logistics and payments; you invoice for sessions.
