Music Theory Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students for online Music Theory tutoring with flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online Music Theory tutoring to students.
• Set your own schedule and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Deliver engaging, personalized instruction and adapt to different learning styles.
• Utilize the Live Learning Platform for remote tutoring and leverage AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions and manage payments with the platform.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Music Theory and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles.
• Priority given to tutoring/teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation & Perks

• Base rates start at $18/hour, with increases for specialized subjects; potential to earn up to $40/hour with repeated sessions from the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
